As for the course guide, the program’s coordination office has been vigilant about the courses offered by PPGIm, so that they can effectively capacitate the students, contemplating present demands for knowledge and expected exchanges within the international expansion policy. The course of Bioethics and Biosafety has become mandatory since 2013, addressing complementary subjects of concern, associated to experiments and to animal and human health care. Two new courses are on their implementation phase: Immunonutrition and Good Practices in Animal Experiments, having Professors Gyselle Baccan and Victor Diógenes Amaral da Silva in charge, respectively, in addition to contributions from other professors and invited external members with expertise in the fields.

Among the mandatory activities — and since 2011 —, the Scientific Seminars count on the participation of all enrolled students, having acquired a new format with the presence of students debating on the projects presented by the new students, in addition to weekly conferences with faculty members and external guests to the Program. This action has enabled project discussions and experimental results, having the agenda contemplated the whole of student body as presenters, in addition to allowing, through conferences by professors and outside researchers, constant updates on Immunology and related fields. In an integrated manner, this activity helps in the complementary continuous education by means of scientific and academic updates for the graduate students.
